Meet Your Guide: Dr. Kia James

Dr. Kia James brings a unique blend of science and holistic wellness to breathwork. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare, academia, and energy healing, she combines her deep knowledge of nursing, public health, human design, and shamanic healing to create a comprehensive and transformative breathwork experience.

Her credentials include:
✔️ Registered Nurse (RN) – Extensive experience in hospitals, industry wellness programs, and public health initiatives.
✔️ Master’s in Public Health (MPH) – A strong foundation in stress reduction, trauma-informed care, and mind-body wellness.
✔️ Doctorate in Educational Leadership & Administration (EdD) – A skilled teacher who makes breathwork accessible for all.
✔️ Certified Human Design Specialist & Coach – Offering insights into self-awareness, energy flow, and personal alignment.
✔️ Shamanic Practitioner – Incorporating spiritual wisdom to guide students into deeper healing and transformation.

Dr. James retired from her role as a Professor and Dean of a Master’s in Public Health program in 2020 to fully dedicate her work to holistic healing and energy transformation. Her teaching is grounded in both scientific evidence and ancient wisdom, making this breathwork class a powerful blend of mind, body, and spirit healing.

What to Expect in Class

🌬️ Guided Breathwork – You’ll be led through conscious breathing techniques that promote healing and relaxation.
🛏️ Comfortable Setup – Please bring a pillow and blanket for comfort while lying down.
Punctual Start – Arrive 10 minutes early if you need to complete intake paperwork. Class begins promptly, and the latest we can allow entry is 5 minutes after class starts to maintain a distraction-free, focused environment.
🤲 Self-Responsibility & Gentle Awareness – This is a trauma-informed space, meaning you are encouraged to:
✔️ Listen to your body—take breaks as needed.
✔️ Take accountability for your experience—support is available if needed.
✔️ Communicate your needs—this space is here for you.
