This course will discuss how best to use the tools we use on a daily basis – from our elbows to fingers, as well as cups or guasha – while also observing clues from the client’s body and posture. Most importantly, how to communicate effectively with clients to help customize sessions and figure out ways to accommodate unexpected or “unvoiced” needs. All of which while using proper body mechanic principles to ensure therapist protection and client comfort.

Get to Know Your Host, Cleo Royal
This is my 25th year of practicing massage therapy, which has become more than just a profession but something that shapes my world on a daily basis. I believe that every massage should be both relaxing AND therapeutic, therefore – like a mechanic or carpenter – Before becoming a massage therapist, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a concentration in business at Indiana University of PA, with work experience ranging from PR/marketing to being an actual reporter.
In addition to body work, I was also a massage therapy instructor for 16 years on assorted topics, and a Reiki Master who has been dabbling in energy work long before I knew any of the related jargon. I credit Barbara Brennan’s book, “Hands of Healing” toward helping me get in touch with my inner healer that actually lead me to becoming a massage therapist.

Continuing Education Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your enrollment OR If a class is canceled by an instructor the cost will be credited to your account for future use or refunded by check, minus any credit card fees.
Refunds will not be given for no-shows or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class.
