Feeling the summer sizzle a little too intensely, both inside and out? Do you find yourself battling the heat, maybe experiencing a touch of fiery frustration, or even noticing some skin sensitivities? If any of this resonates, dear community member, then we have just the oasis you need! We’re thrilled to invite you to a special workshop: Pitta Yoga for Calming Your Inner Critic, presented by the wonderful Kathy Tooley.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 19th, from 10-11am EST. This is your chance to step away from the hustle, cool your system, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-compassion.

Ever heard of Ayurveda? This ancient wisdom teaches us that “like increases like” and that balance comes from embracing the opposite. For those with a dominant Pitta dosha – often characterized by a fiery nature, sharp intellect, and a tendency towards perfectionism – the heat of summer can amplify these qualities, sometimes leading to imbalances like rashes, stomach upset, inflammation, and yes, that relentless inner critic.

But fear not, Pitta friends (and everyone else who needs a little cooling down and self-love)! In this nurturing session, Kathy will guide you through an Ayurveda-inspired yoga flow specifically designed to:

  • Embrace the Opposite: Discover cooling and calming practices to soothe your nervous system and counteract the fiery Pitta energy.
  • Find Your Flow: Engage in a gentle and mindful yoga sequence that honors the principles of balance.
  • Silence the Inner Saboteur: Explore techniques and cultivate self-compassion to gently quiet that nagging voice of “not-enoughness.” Because, let’s be clear, you are absolutely enough.

Meet Your Guide:

Our instructor, Kathy Tooley, is a seasoned 500-hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher with a deep well of knowledge in Ayurveda. Her extensive training encompasses daily and seasonal self-care practices, as well as the specific ways food, breathwork, and yoga can harmonize each dosha. Kathy not only lives and breathes Ayurvedic philosophy but also passionately shares its wisdom in various settings, including yoga teacher trainings. You’re in truly capable and caring hands.
